PLUS Communications, a public affairs firm based in Arlington, VA, is looking for an operations manager to serve as the Chief Operating Officer’s (COO) right hand and join the team. 
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who will play a crucial role in the smooth function of the overall office administration. Reporting to the COO, this is a great opportunity for someone with experience navigating complex organizations and who is looking to grow in a fast-paced work environment. 
Specifically, the Office Manager will: 
Identify bottlenecks and streamline procedures to improve operational processes 
Help drive employee engagement and staff development programs in conjunction with the HR team and COO, which includes internal newsletters office outings, trainings, workshops, etc. 
Support the COO in day-to-day administration of office-related items, including drafting meeting agendas and handling follow-up action items to ensure projects run smoothly 
Track operational budgets and identify ways to ensure cost efficiencies  
Oversee office reception, including managing a full-time receptionist and ensuring 100% coverage of front desk and phone lines during normal business hours
Serve as the main contact and liaison for various vendors, including (but not limited to) building management, security, and IT 
Work with the COO to support integration efforts within the Omnicom network 
Work in alignment with the HR Team to support new hire onboarding, specifically ensuring that a new hire’s workspace, office key cards, and IT equipment is fully functional
Own all day-to-day management of special projects as assigned by the COO 
Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: 
Approximately 4-6 years of related work experience is required 
Possesses a cooperative, flexible, can-do attitude
Proactively works to improve operational systems and is always looking for ways in which to work more efficiently and effectively 
Ability to use discretion and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of the firm
Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational skills 
Demonstrated track record of thinking critically with the ability to see two steps ahead and anticipate any issues that may arise
