Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our vibrant team! The Senior Accountant will help us continue spreading the joy of gardening and making it accessible by leverage their experience and expertise in accounting to support our fast-growing company. If you are a team-centric and organized accounting professional who is passionate about sustainable living and making a difference, we would love to have you on our team! This is a full-time, on-site position based out of Tomball, TX.
Perform month-end closing assignments including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of income statement and balance sheet accounts.
Partner with the business to ensure complete, accurate and timely accounting of all transactions.
Assist in the preparation of semi-annual and year-end audit requests, in addition to addressing questions as needed.
Assist in the development of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting process.
Identify, develop and ensure the application of internal controls over financial reporting related to all areas responsibility, as needed.
Identify, communicate, and assist in implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Follow Company policies and procedures.
Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by the manager and the leadership of the Company.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance required.
3+ years of related industry or public accounting experience at a senior accountant level
Public accounting firm experience is a plus, e-commerce working experience is a plus.
Understanding of full-cycle accounting.
Capable of working in a fast-changing internet environment and adept at quickly learning new business-related software.
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel formulas.
Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.

Monday through Friday
8:30 am to 5:00 pm; lunch break 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
