Traffic Engineer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Civil Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Traffic Engineer in Philadelphia, PA.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques and principles, with the guidance of senior staff, to develop designs, reports, presentation materials, and other elements necessary for project success.
Research design options and apply code provisions/standards.
Work with senior engineers and planners, often involving multiple disciplines, to create designs that meet or exceed client needs.
Perform engineering calculations and create cost estimates.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, supervisors, clients, and colleagues.
Meet schedule, budget, and quality goals set by project managers.
Work toward fluency in Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads and create plans, CADD models, etc.
Field work conducted in collaboration with senior and project engineers.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) preferred but not required.
0-5 years of experience with interest in transportation/highway/traffic design.
Previous internship experience and/or capstone project work pertaining to highway/traffic/railroad engineering preferred.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Some experience working with AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and other software packages is preferred.
Previous experience with Traffic analysis software is a plus.
Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD and other transportation publications.
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Effective time management and organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task.
