The Warehouse Manager will increase company profitability and customer satisfaction by overseeing warehouse operations in a safe, secure, efficient, and cost-effective manner that complies with company policy and OSHA, DOT and other applicable regulations.
The Warehouse Manager provides leadership and oversight to Maumee Supply’s operations, shipping and receiving, inventory management, building, equipment, and fleet maintenance. This key position is responsible for the day-to-day success of the Company and works closely with warehouse associates, purchasing, sales, and other leaders to meet business needs.
The ideal candidate has a strong ability to lead people, experience implementing processes and procedures which improve operational efficiency, has working knowledge of lean enterprise practices, and has a track record of implementing safety programs in compliance with all regulations & standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Team Leadership
Motivate staff to achieve performance targets.
Hiring, onboarding, and training and provide development opportunities to enhance team skills.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Critical thinking to efficiently solve problems.
2. Operational Efficiency
Maintain inventory storage and oversee inventory transfers between departments.
Develop and optimize warehouse procedures to streamline operations.
Monitor productivity metrics and implement improvements as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of orders.
Monitor delivery metrics to ensure customers’ orders are filled accurately and in a timely manner
3. Safety and Compliance
Enforce safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
4. Equipment and Maintenance
Oversee maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment and vehicle fleet.
Coordinate to schedule servicing and upgrades.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
5. Reporting and Analysis
Generate reports on key performance indicators and operational metrics.
Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop actionable insights to optimize warehouse performance.
Requirements
A valid driver's license with insurability.
Daily duties include (but not limited to):
Lead, Manage and be Accountable for you and your departments responsibilities.
Maintain accurate inventory control through the receiving process, pulling process, and accurate inventory counts.
Maintain adequate staffing levels by hiring and terminating staff for the needed duties of our warehouse and delivery operations.  This includes training all in the policy and procedures for such responsibilities along with all safety protocols.  
Plan daily truck routes to be the most efficient for the company.
Facilitate fabrication of custom orders
Supervise the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, and shipping products or materials
Plan, develop, and implement warehouse safety and security programs and activities
Schedule and monitor pickup, delivery, or distribution of products or materials
Interview, select, and train personnel for warehouse, drivers, and receiving
Inspect physical conditions of warehouses, vehicle fleets and equipment, and order testing, maintenance, repair, or replacement as necessary
Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment
Road test all new drivers for vehicles
Train Fork Truck operation and safety to our staff
Oversee cycle counting to make sure is done in full in assigned time frame.
Perform formal employee reviews minimal annually for the staff you supervise.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Layout and organize inventories as needed and adjust the layout of the warehouse to incorporate new lines and sku’s and improve on space functionality and improve on efficiencies for pulling material
Drivers home daily.
Positive – “Can Do” attitude
CDL Class B
Able to lift 75 pounds, reach overhead, climb in and out of a dock-height truck bed.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent or higher
