Essential Job Duties:
We are looking for a primary care physician assistant or nurse practitioner to assist in after hours triage for our primary care practice and multispecialty group.
The ideal candidate will have a background in primary care, urgent care or emergency medicine and be confident in triaging calls from our members for urgent care requests in the evening and after hours time frame.
We are hoping that this candidate will work from the office from 6-10p and then complete their shift working from home to answer calls that may come in.
While most expected shifts will entail only telemedicine, this clinician may occasionally be dispatched for after hours visits including swabs, phlebotomy, or urgent care.
Partner with Atria physicians to provide exceptional care in a state of the art facility, as well as providing care to our members in the comfort of their homes
Works collaboratively with CMOs to provide Preventive Care, Well Visits & Comprehensive Health Assessments in the Institute, also with direct and indirect supervision for urgent Home Care visits
Flexibility to work weekends and off hours for on-call coverage for home care visits and Institute coverage, as necessary
Adult Care NPs & PAs must have the ability to work fluidly and competently across multiple disciplines, including Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Neurology and Geriatrics for cross coverage and to meet operational needs of the Institute to cover staff for illness, personal leave, vacation or continuing medical education
Pediatric NPs & PAs must have ability to provide comprehensive Primary Care to the pediatric population
Is competent to provide care to members based upon the age groups treated
Adaptability to gain training and demonstrate competencies in a variety of Point of Care Testing modalities and devices.
Flexibility to perform clinical, administrative and clerical tasks outside routine scope of practice
Opportunity to perform Exercise Physiology and Mobility Testing with Diers/Dari
Providing Home Care Services for minor procedures, such as insertion of peripheral IV for medication administration, wound care, vaccinations and phlebotomy techniques.
Documentation and appropriate maintenance of Medical Records for members
Telehealth visits & Electronic prescribing of medications as needed
EMR data integration

Maintains a high quality workforce to assist in the achievement of the Organization’s Mission.
Maintenance & upkeep of Professional Licenses, Certifications, DEA certification, State requirements and National Certifying Agencies credentials
Participates in appropriate continuing medical education programs for maintenance of Continued Medical Education and CUEs for professional licensure
Salary: Range: $170,000 - $190,000
Requirements
Current NYS License required as NP for specialty, or current NYS Licensed PA
2+ years’ experience as practicing NP or PA
BLS certification from American Heart Association
Capable and experienced with relevant procedures for proficiency in delivering care in specialty include (LIST)
Available for variable weekend on-call assignment
