Senior Director of Operations

Company: Stuf Storage
Job type: Full-time

About Stuf
Stuf is a next-generation self-storage startup delivering modern, tech-enabled storage solutions closer to consumers and businesses. We are proud to be the home away from home for people's stuff. Traditional options are out of the way and inconvenient, so we’re building a hyperlocal storage network by monetizing basements, garages, and other underutilized spaces in your neighborhood. We take a hospitality-driven approach to delivering a best-in-class storage experience powered by technology.
Today, our network spans San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, DC, Seattle, and Boston. We have big plans to accelerate our growth and expand our network over the next few years.
Stuf was recognized by Fast Company as a Most Innovative Company for 2022. We have raised venture funding from Altos Ventures, Allegion Ventures, Wilshire Lane Capital and Harlem Capital, and our founder was named to Inc.'s 2022 Female Founders 100 List. We dream big, communicate openly, show up for our teammates, and do whatever it takes to get it done.
About the role
Operations is core to running a successful business, particularly one rooted in real estate. You share our passion for reinventing consumer experiences in the “built” world, and your work will redefine the self-storage industry for years to come.
As part of the leadership team, you will have a rare opportunity to build and define the business from its early days. You will determine portfolio strategy, identify growth areas, develop operational standards and processes, and execute an ambitious growth plan. In this role, you will own our P&L and manage the day-to-day business with an eye for the future.
We are looking for an experienced and effective people manager who helps their people do what others say can’t be done. As Senior Director of Ops, you will establish the operational backbone of the business and steer towards the future, allowing the company to grow and expand across geographies and product lines.
The ideal candidate moves nimbly and thrives in a fast-paced environment, from rolling up their sleeves to launch a new location to 5 year strategy and planning. She / he / they cares about the details but sees the bigger picture and can drive a team to deliver high quality work quickly.
This role can be in New York City or Los Angeles and will report to the CEO. Join us today!
