Our client is currently upgrading Meditech Client Server to Meditech Expanse. Their expected go live is February 2025!
The ideal candidate would be able to generate employee and medical staff buy in and help stabilize the department throughout implementation, go live and post go live.
This position has four competent managers that report directly to them: Systems, Technical, Operations and Communications.
The candidate is required to have experience in transitioning to Meditech Expanse. Candidates without Meditech Expanse knowledge will not be considered.
The location is in Victoria, Texas
The working schedule for this role is 40 hours weekly
The duration is 52 weeks as a contractor
The anticipated start for this role is two weeks after an accepted offer
Vacation coverage is not required
This is an onsite position with the client providing housing
The pay: $54.38 Hourly ($1,640.00 Taxable, $535.00 Stipend) = $2,175.00 Weekly = $8,700.00 Monthly Gross

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and direct Information Technology activities
Manage/Coach staff in a single facility setting that has multiple remote locations that are connected via WAN
Develop/Coordinate policies and procedures operations departmentally/facility wide to provide quality service
Foster development and maintenance of an environment where exceptional quality is achieved, recognized, and continuously improved upon
Develop annual budgets, quality goal objectives, and operate within such guidelines
Actively participate in numerous committees to further our patient care objectives within the organization
Provide short and long-range strategic plans to administration that assure their organization will maintain its reputation as a leader in technology and cost effective automation
Job Specifications:
Demonstrates effective leadership of the Information Technology department
Develops and manages the capital budget as it relates to the area of Information Technology
Oversees the development, procurement, and deployment of computer systems
Consults with hospital management personnel to define boundaries and priorities of tentative projects
Confers with hospital Department Managers involved with proposed projects to insure cooperation and to further define the nature of projects
Displays a polite, considerate, and professional manner, indicating concern and interest with patients, visitors, employees, and peers
Develops, reviews, and revises (as required), complies with, and enforces hospital and department policies and procedures
Determines the quantity, qualifications, and competence of department personnel required to fulfill department obligations

Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and/or Management Information Systems.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years experience with increasing responsibility in Information Technology within a healthcare environment.
