Job Description
AECOM is seeking to hire a NEPA Planner/ Environmental Project Manager to support the Georgia's AECOM Environmental Transportation practice. Be a key player in delivering sustainable transportation projects, guiding clients through environmental processes, and ensuring project success.  This position is a hybrid work option. 
This role consists of preparation and QAQC of environmental deliverables associated with transportation projects (including schedule management requiring interdisciplinary team coordination and ensuring schedules are updated based on changing client and/or regulatory needs) and guiding clients in the permitting and environmental management process to obtain environmental clearances. Seeking a talented experienced professional to provide QAQC for environmental documents for transportation projects (NEPA and GEPA and supporting materials).
Responsibilities:
Apply expert knowledge of the GDOT state-funded environmental process and milestone schedule management for the GDOT Plan Development Process.
Prepares basic data and scientific documents to include figures, technical reports, agency coordination, NEPA/GEPA documents, and 404/buffer variance permit applications for authorization by state and federal agencies. Gather data and other information to be used in the preparation of environmental reports of investigations; compile and organize data collected by others.
Performs technical approach, quality control, data assessments, report reviews and QA/QC for work prepared by others.
Develops plans, studies and analyses. Manages complex planning studies, development applications and reviews.
Program management support, including project management experience, managing multiple aspects of projects and tasks as well as budgets and staffing, and schedules.
Works in program areas relating to natural/water resources planning, community development, hazard mitigation, coastal zone management, and others.
Conducts research and prepares statistical reports on land use, physical, social and economic issues, and public involvement.
Conducts meetings and presents reports and other findings to public, agencies, clients, and stakeholders.
Works under supervision of senior staff but is capable of completing all but the most complex tasks with minimal supervision.
Scheduling: Aligns project deliverables with engineering and project delivery milestones; recommends priorities, schedules and funding sources to implement public improvements plan.
Assist management with business development activities and mentorship of junior staff
