Litigation Paralegal

Role Overview
The Miami office of Kubicki Draper is currently seeking a paralegal with 3+ years of civil litigation experience. Prior insurance defense is required. Experience in the areas of construction insurance coverage and pre-suit highly desired.
Your Day-to-Day:
Must be proficient in the use of Word, Microsoft Office and Excel
Draft and review vital pleadings and motions, respond to discoveries, and drive motions
Communicate in a highly effective manner with colleagues and clients
Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Requirements
The Miami office of Kubicki Draper is currently seeking a Litigation Paralegal with three or more years of prior Insurance Defense experience. Background in pre-suit, civil litigation, construction, a plus.
Qualifications:
· Prior experience in insurance defense litigation and/or general liability, preferred
· Prior experience in reviewing and summarizing medical records and bills, preferred
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong organizational skills needed
· Working knowledge of Florida Court procedures preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Summarize medical records, bills and supporting documents, as well as create medical chronologies and bill summaries
· Communicate with clients, carriers, and counsel effectively in a team environment
· Competent in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Adobe & Excel
· Must be task orientated.
· Ability to work independently in a fast paced friendly environment
