Burn In Technician

Summary:
Perform the duties necessary to process semiconductor devices through the burn-in area using standard bench equipment and burn-in chambers in compliance with established methods and procedures.  Assist in the design and development of all necessary burn-in hardware and software.  Possess essential basic troubleshooting skills.  Communicate with test engineering about issues impeding production through the department and assist with issue resolution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop a basic understanding of many digital, linear, mixed-signal, memory, and discrete devices with a focus toward supporting burn-in requirements.
Learn to analyze device specifications, customer Source Control Drawings (SCD’s), Standard Military Drawings (SMD’s), and other pertinent documentation to maintain full compliance to all burn-in requirements.
Utilize standard bench equipment – power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, etc. – and commercial burn-in chambers to process production orders through the area while meeting all burn-in requirements.
Assist with the technical analysis of burn-in related product issues and participate in the resolution of any issues found.
Assist with routine calibration, preventative maintenance, and minor repairs of burn-in equipment, boards, and cards.
Possess strong soldering skills to assist with building and maintaining burn-in boards and cards.
Complete all required documentation for job processing through the area while keeping a strong attention to detail, a good focus on quality, and minimizing errors.

Requirements
Job Qualifications:
US citizenship or permanent resident alien status is required.
Job Skills:
Excellent hands-on laboratory skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work on multiple projects and adjust to priority changes within a dynamic work environment.
Possess strong focus to meet goals, production schedules, and deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Available to work occasional overtime when needed.
Strong database skills, Access or Excel.
Should be able to collect and analyze data.
Should possess strong analytical skills.
