BillingPlatform is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to experience a start-up culture while being involved in all facets of the business. Your contribution will be pivotal to the expansion of our Finance department.
Responsibilities:
Own the month-end close process, including financial statement preparation and budget-to-actual analysis.
Oversee bookings, billing, revenue processes, and accounts payable and collection functions.
Review and sometimes prepare journal entries and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including cash, AR, prepaid accounts, accruals, and deferred revenue.
Administer commission accruals and payouts.
Oversee payroll processing and other HR-related functions.
Assist with general ledger activity, financial reporting, and other accounting functions.
Be the primary point of contact for audits and tax filings.
Collaborate with multi-department operations to enhance accounting processes and policies.
Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for your team.
Manage projects and conduct primary reviews of staff work, mentoring a team.
Proactively assist with the close process and audits.
Requirements
Qualifications:
2-3 years of Controllership/Financial Auditing experience.
BA in Accounting is required; CPA is a plus.
Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office is required, Workday is an advantage.
Understanding of general accounting guidance, GAAP, and technical accounting.
Proven ability to manage and coach a diverse team.
Strong problem-solving skills with limited supervision or guidance.
Self-starter and team player with excellent communication skills across all levels.
Critical thinker with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team.

The base salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. Salary information is provided per state regulations in CA, CO, CT, MD, NV, NY, RI, and WA.
