About the Role
Are you passionate about leading operational excellence in an entrepreneurial and dynamic work environment? Are you yearning for an opportunity to utilize your creativity to grow a scaling process?  We are looking for a Director, Strategy and Operations to join us on our journey to facilitate a digital revolution in the B2B supply chain.
 
The Director, Strategy and Operations will work with the executive team to develop, launch, and stabilize strategic initiatives, including, but not limited to, sales initiatives, new growth vectors, process improvement and organizational development.  An example of this role’s responsibility might be overseeing the P&L, strategy, organizational development, and service/product roadmap of a new business launch while developing the sales strategy for the sales organization for a separate department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the CEO and CFO to develop and implement the company's strategic plan and objectives
Serve as a right-hand person to the CEO/CFO which includes:
Overseeing and managing key projects and initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams and facilitating effective communication
Providing support on various tasks and projects
Liaising with other team members
Analyzing data and preparing reports to facilitate decision making
Providing any other necessary support as needed
Develop, launch and stabilize new initiatives including:
Developing the strategic vision, goals, objectives and tactics for the project at hand
Build and lead a high-performing team of employees that focuses on operational excellence, customer service and maintaining a win or die mentality, setting clear goals and expectations and providing regular feedback
Work cross-functionally with other departments and leaders to ensure alignment and successful execution of objectives
Establish and evaluate KPIs for organizations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive efficiency and effectiveness
Leading from the front when necessary and doing whatever it takes to ensure operational success
Hire, develop, and manage performance and development of colleagues as needed
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
Strong understanding of financial concepts, including financial modeling, valuation methods, and accounting principles
Proficiency in building complex financial models and analyzing large datasets to derive meaningful insights
Proficient in preparing clear and concise memoranda and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all projects and an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as necessary
Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-motivated in individual projects
Ability to communicate both verbally and written to all levels of the organization
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Educational/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
8-15 years of working experience
Investment banking experience required
Private equity experience required
Start-up experience (e.g., Series A, B, or C) preferred
 
Compensation:  $155-175k
