ABOUT THE POSITION
We believe that the key to creating a high-quality preschool and childcare experience begins with preschool teachers that love what they do and where they work. As a preschool teacher, you will work directly with children every day and oversee their learning and development in a wide variety of areas including, but not limited to: language skills, social & emotional learning, cognitive development, personal hygiene, and curriculum such as shapes, colors, numbers, and the alphabet. The preschool teacher is the most important part of a preschool child's day, and is successful when they help children reach their full potential at each stage in their early childhood development.
Full-Time: 36-40hrs per week
Starting Pay Range: $10-13 per hour (depending on interviews, education, and experience)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
* Creating a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment based on the developmental needs of each child
* Ensuring the completion of daily activities and lessons in the classroom
* Daily Activities include, but are not limited to: circle time, personal hygiene routines, meals, outdoor play, science experiments, and arts/crafts
* Maintaining a clean classroom and work environment
* Establishing positive and professional relationships with each child in your care, their parents, and all coworkers
* Collaborating with fellow teachers to plan lessons and promote the continuous growth mindset of our place of work
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* High energy, positive attitude, and excitement for teaching young children!
* You must be at least 18 years of age
* High School Diploma/GED
* Clear FBI Criminal Background Check
* Ability to regularly lift children up to 40 lbs., sit on the ground, stoop, and be at the "child-level"
* Basic computer skills (Windows & MS Office)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* An associates or bachelor's degree in the field of child development/ early childhood development
* Previous employment at childcare centers
* Experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years
* Previous experience with customer service (i.e. retail or restaurant)
