Summary
The Director, Global Supply Chain is responsible for managing the supply planning team, ensuring efficient planning and flow of materials throughout the entire supply chain from the supply base to support product shipments in our warehouses. This position effectively manages the planning, buying and execution of Core, promotional, new product launch finished goods and components, ensuring unit fill rate, inventory, and cost objectives are met. The Director, Global Supply Chain will support the Operations team with weekly/monthly planning reviews, lead the low stock “Critical” meetings and publish to the cross-functional teams, maintain system accuracy on due dates and transactions, participate with the cross-functional teams as necessary to support launches and other promotional needs, and ensure master data is maintained for accurate planning and reporting. Top KPIs are UFR (unit fill rate), inventory efficiency DOS (days of supply), on-time product and promotional launches, and cost management (air freight and cost savings initiatives). Member of the Operations Leadership Team.
Responsibilities:
Manage the Planning team and processes to deliver UFR and inventory targets.
Support on-time launches (new launches and retailer promotions) with extended team.
Manage monthly MPS planning process. Make recommended buys to support UFR and inventory objectives.
Support the planners as needed to execute FG plan and procure components to support targeted component and FG safety stocks.
Support sourcing and cost savings initiatives as necessary to ensure smooth, timely transition with no interruption in product supply.
Support monthly S&OP process.
Monitor capacity throughput and proactively identify production bottlenecks to drive solutions.
Ensure PO and Work Order delivery dates in Sage are accurate and maintained.
Ensure adherence to weekly/monthly Planning cycles.
Monitor inventory and ensure warehouse transfers between DC and third-party manufacturers as necessary.
Work with third-party manufacturers (CMs), building relationships and supporting assigned planners, to ensure supply plans meet customer service needs. Elevate delivery issues that cannot be resolved as necessary to Milani management.
Coordinate with Sales, Marketing, Project Management, Product Development, and Packaging Development as required to maintain Core products.
Ensure data accuracy in Sage (item masters, BOMs, etc,) and proper process flow.
Ensure planning team issues POs at correct pricing and MOQs.
Coordinate logistics with freight forwarder as necessary and provide recommendations for ship method to support PO and fill rate needs.
Support implementation of new planning systems as required.
Support annual physical inventories as necessary.
Master data management responsibilities.
Other duties as assigned by Manager.
Reports to the SVP, Operations.
Requirements
Local Candidates Only! No relocation or out of state considered. Regular attendance is required 3-4 days in the Vernon, CA office.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, operations, finance, or a related area. MBA a plus.
APICS certified preferred.
Progressive experience managing supply chain for a CPG company
Experience in color cosmetics, personal care, consumer products or similar fast-paced product environment.
Experience directly managing the work of others and leading a team.
Strong background in a Supply Chain environment (MPS, MRP and Data Base management).
Thorough understanding of Supply Chain Management operational concepts surrounding production planning, scheduling, purchasing, supplier selection, inventory control, logistics, etc.
Adept at problem solving, conflict resolution, and process improvement
Experience with global manufacturing and logistics.
Strong Excel and analytical abilities.
Experience with systems including Legacy systems (Sage), Forecasting and planning tools, strong MS Office skills
Excellent team player with solid written and verbal communication skills.
Big picture orientation with attention to detail.
Excellent follow-up and organizational skills required.
Must possess the ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and yet be flexible in an ever-changing environment.
Ability to work independently and lead a team toward defined objectives.
Strong level of integrity and work ethic.

Compensation
The base salary range represents the low and high end of Milani's salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on factors including, but not limited to location, education, skills and experience. The base salary for this role is $(phone number removed) to $(phone number removed).
