Position Summary:  
BEAM Circular is looking for a highly motivated and organized Summer Operations Assistant to join our team! This position offers an opportunity to develop organizational skills, enhance written and verbal communication abilities, and work independently in a dynamic and exciting environment. The candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the backbone of BEAM Circular, and get some valuable hands-on experience. The Summer Program Assistant will work directly with the Chief Operations and Finance Officer. This role will start May/June and run through August or December, depending on applicant’s availability.
Essential Functions:  
Assist the Community Engagement Team with community events
Assist with the planning and execution of other BEAM events
Assist the Program Staff with execution of BEAM Circular Programs
Assist with BEAM operational activities, such as accounting and office management 
Assist in coordinating logistics for meetings, including food and beverage, audio/visual needs, and ensuring meetings run as smoothly as possible.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop strong partnerships with diverse stakeholders across industry, government, and education sectors
Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a science or technology-driven field preferred, but not required.
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage projects with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
Candidate must be able to attend in-person meetings across the North San Joaquin Valley region
Environmental Conditions
Indoors in a typical office environment approximately ninety-five percent (95%) of the time.
Frequent computer use at the workstation for up to eight hours.  
Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.
May occasionally move (walk or drive) from one work location to another.
Physical Demands
Ability to walk, sit, stand, stoop, crouch, and climb stairs.
Ability to move and lift up to 20 pounds.
Visual Acuity (Far/Near).
Regular and Consistent Attendance.

Benefits
Compensation: 
Compensation is $20 an hour for a maximum of 10 hours a week
Position based in Modesto, CA. Hybrid work arrangements permitted. 
BEAM is incubated and fiscally sponsored by Opportunity Stanislaus, an organization that promotes regional economic growth and workforce development opportunities. The Program Associate will be hired as an employee of Opportunity Stanislaus, but will be dedicated to BEAM Circular operations.
