Director of Engineering

Job Description
Lead our engineering team and oversee all aspects of the engineering and maintenance operations for the property.  Play a key role in ensuring the appearance, functionality and integrity of the property are optimized while implementing strategies that support efficiency and sustainability.  
Focus on providing efficient service that contributes to meaningful guest experiences and maintains the physical assets at their highest level.
Emphasis on planning, organizing and directing activities that are concerned with the maintenance structures, facilities and systems.
Mentor and inspire a team of engineers fostering a culture of accountability, excellence and proactive maintenance practices.
Plan and manage engineering projects, including renovations, upgrades, new installations, Capital Expenditures and the HOA Reserve plan
Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs during both operating seasons and both off seasons, to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment, hotel and residential products.
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
Develop and manage the engineering department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and appropriate allocations to the HOA and corresponding departments.
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues by the standards set forth by the property and ARC.
