About you:
We need a Physical Therapy Assistant to join Dr. Yarema's medical team, licensed in California.
As the Physical Therapy Assistant, you will support the implementation of physical therapy treatments.
Our ideal candidate is someone who pays close attention to details, is highly perceptive and analytical, is meticulous in their approach to holistic healthcare, and can perform to their highest potential and meet our deliverables.
This is initially a part-time (one or two days per week) position with the potential to be full-time and we will require you to work onsite at 3121 Park Ave Suite D, Soquel, California, United States.
Physical Therapy Assistant Goals:
Ensure patients feel comfortable and supported during physical therapy sessions.
Provide services according to institutional policies and procedures under the supervision of the onsite attending physical therapist.
Ensure the delivery of services is done safely, respectfully, and in a dignified manner.
Document services and patient experiences according to professional standards of the Clinic, Community, and State.
Maintain a knowledge and skill base of the therapies used within the Institution with appropriate ongoing Continuing Medical Education.
Physical Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:
Review patient history, chart notes, indications/contraindications, allergies, verification of Informed Consent, and confirmation of patient identity, procedure, and site on all new and returning patients.
Identify any new developments in patient status.
Assist with the implementation of physical therapy treatments and exercises as prescribed by the licensed physical therapist.
Appropriately document patient history, evaluations, findings, clinical decision-making, and therapeutic plans in the clinic's medical record system.
Contribute to the Clinic's continual quality improvement by providing meaningful feedback during regular Clinical Staff Meetings.
Contribute to our local community through patient outreach and educational activities.
Physical Therapy Assistant Requirements:
Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, under the Physical Therapy Board of California.
Over 3 years of supervised clinical experience.
Strong willingness to learn integrative medicine.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good documentation skills.
Strong observational, analytical, and people skills.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to see the bigger picture.
A patient-centered mindset and commitment to excellence in the field of Integrative Medicine.
