HVDC Design Engineer - Yorkshire - Permanent -
£30,000-£60,000 Per Annum

ARM are working with a Global Engineering firm that is looking for a HVDC Design Engineers to join the experienced team. This is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career in a reputable business while working on the biggest rail infrastructure projects in the UK.

About You:
You will have significant experience as a design engineer within HVDC engineering within energy sectors.
You will have demonstrable experience in using LCAD, Statcom and FATS systems in your role.
Your experience will include phasing in fixtures such as substations and static frequency controls.

What you will be doing:
In this position, you will be tasked with supporting the creation of a new Static Frequency Control system (SFC). You will be responsible for the layout and equipment design on substations up to 400k V to ensure they meet contract requirements (Risks/safety, costs, reliability). You will also be accountable for approving primary engineering designs by the team. The SFC is a new product and is specifically used to convert power to then be used on railways.

This position is based in Yorkshire and is commutable for all taking Train, Bus and Car. The position is fully on-site.

The salary for this position is paying between £30,000- £60,000 Per Annum depending on experience including shift allowance. What you can also expect:
