Electrical Maintenance Engineer – York - £36,000
This is an amazing opportunity to join one of the UK's leading M&E service providers on a critical site in York. Our client is looking for sharp and eager engineer to take on PPM and reactive maintenance duties on a Monday - Friday basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting fault detection and repairing various electrical and mechanical plant and equipment.
* Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical and electrical plant faults responsibly, while ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements.
* Performing efficient servicing, fault diagnosis, and repair work on HVAC equipment according to current standards.
* Submitting clear, concise, and accurate reports detailing the work undertaken.
You should possess:
* Prior experience as an electrical maintenance service engineer in the commercial sector, focusing on routine plant repairs and maintenance.
* Ideally, candidates should have completed a formal electrical apprenticeship or Level 3 Electrical Diploma.
* Preferably, you should hold City and Guilds 2391 test and inspect certification.
* 18th Edition certification.
* Approval of Risk Assessments and Method Statements, along with associated Work Permits.
* Proficiency in M&E fault finding.
* Experience in small mechanical installation works, including pumps, valves, taps, etc.
* Competence in working with control panels – Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) and actuators.
* Familiarity with Pumps, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), filters, belts, and pulleys
