Salary: £30000 per annum

GSL Education's North Yorkshire branch is actively recruiting for Early Career Teachers in York for short-term, mid-term, and long-term positions starting in September 2024. We are looking for Early Career Teachers or Newly Qualified Teachers across a variety of subjects, according to the requirements of our client schools for long-term placements and daily supply.

The opportunities available as an Early Career Teacher:

Secondary, and Special Educational Needs School, Teaching opportunities.
Opportunities to work in a learning community in which students make progress and where teachers participate in regular professional development activities and training.
1:1 and small group intervention opportunities.
The chance to work in OFSTED graded ‘Requirements Improvement’, ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ Schools in York and the surrounding areas.

Be offered competitive daily rates to pay from £120 - £140 for short term and interim cover bookings.

Have a dedicated Consultant who will offer you support, advice and guidance, including interview and CV writing techniques, to ensure you stand out above other applicants.
Requirements:

Hold a relevant degree.
Achieve Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through an accredited Initial Teacher Training (ITT) program.
Complete a two-year induction program.
Undergo regular observations and assessments by mentors and school leaders.
Follow an ECT-specific CPD plan that includes training sessions and professional development opportunities.
Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one.
