A Pontefract based Food Manufacturing business are in need of a driven, motivated Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer who is not shy of thinking on their feet, working to tight PPM schedules and being able to effectively fault-find and diagnose for reactive repairs.
This site is comfortably commutable by car from Pontefract, Selby, Goole, Doncaster, Wakefield and Leeds areas!
Working on a 2-week rotating shift pattern consisting of 12hr day shifts, this is an excellent opportunity to develop in a fast paced, high volume manufacturing facility, providing skills and experience that will last a lifetime.
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of an NVQ L3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and also possess 18th Edition certificate. (desirable)
You will be required to;
Attend machinery breakdowns and diagnose both electrical and mechanical faults.
You will be tasked with the speedy repair of a variety of packaging and production machines updating key production stakeholders on your progress.
You will carry out planned maintenance activities as well as work on machinery upgrades and installations.
You will be engaged on several CI projects across the factory including machinery moves and installations.
Assisting the Production team where possible
Following set procedures and guidelines with respect to food safety, hygiene, health & safety etc.
Driving your own personal development through training and work-based experience.The pay for this role is between £40,000 - £45,000 depending on qualification and direct industry experience.
