WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE
Location: Normanton (WF6 1GY)
Rate: £12 / hour
No evenings, no nights, no weekends. Early finish on a Friday.
Warehouse operative work plus some local delivery driving.
Hague Group has a new opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative to come and join a small, efficient team that works closely together. You’ll be based at our warehousing facility a short drive from junction 31 of the M62. Onsite parking is available.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
In addition to having a full UK driving license and counterbalance forklift truck operator license, you’ll have the following experience:
* Warehouse operative experience (essential)
* Forklift truck operation experience (essential)
* Experience of dealing with internal and external customers (essential)
* Delivery driving experience (preferred)
You need to be able to use a computer including email (Outlook). As you will be communicating with internal and external customers via phone and email, you will have good communication skills including an excellent telephone manner.
A trustworthy and reliable individual, you demonstrate a flexible approach to work, a superb, ‘can do’ customer service attitude and great teamworking ability.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Your responsibilities will include the following:
* The safe loading and unloading of vehicles – this could be by hand or using a pallet truck or forklift truck.
* Assisting with the checking in of stock.
* Sorting and placing goods received into the correct storage area within the warehouse.
* Picking stock.
* Ensuring goods are packaged and labelled correctly, and ready at the required time for delivery or pick up.
* Producing dispatch labels using a computer.
* Taking part in stock counts.
* Liaising with internal / external customers, suppliers and transport companies in a professional and timely manner. This could be by phone, email or face-to-face.
* Undertaking housekeeping activities in order to help ensure that the warehouse is kept clean and tidy.
* Delivering goods to client sites using our van (generally short-middle distance), ensuring that a friendly and professional demeanour is demonstrated. It is expected that delivery/driving activity could amount to around 25% of the role.

WORK DAYS AND HOURS:
* 36 hours / week.
* Monday – Thursday: 7.5 hours daily worked between 8:30am and 5:30pm (subject to the shift you are allocated to). Friday: 3:00pm finish.
