Our client is a well-established leading firm of solicitors based in Sheffield. They are a forward-thinking organisation and one of the leading law firms in South Yorkshire well known for delivering excellent levels of client care.
Role Purpose
The successful Legal Assistant will provide integral administrative support to the Head of Department and fee earners within the Clinical Negligence team.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Responsibilities will include producing high quality and timely correspondence, responding to telephone calls and email enquiries, completing forms and preparing Court documents and electronic bundles, undertaking audio and copy typing of letters and documents, undertaking diary management tasks, dealing with file opening processes and invoicing and billing procedures.
* Experience of or ability to administer and progress cases using an electronic Case management System is essential.
* Candidates must have experience in working in a similar role, ideally within Clinical Negligence or Personal Injury department and have a detailed understanding of the funding of Clinical Negligence cases as they will have day to day responsibility for co-ordinating any appropriate audits for the purposes of Legal Aid and ATE providers.
* In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a confident and pro-active approach, and the ability to apply a high level of attention to detail in their work.
