A growing engineering company in the Sheffield area is looking to expand across several departments due to an increased demand for projects. Now looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to work on their next generation IoT connected products. Purpose of Role
Our client is looking for a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join them as part of the development team, responsible for both the maintenance of current products and the development of new technologies. Working alongside Firmware, Mechanical and Software engineers, you will be involved in the full development cycle, from high-level decision making to simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout of new boards.
As an experienced Electronics Engineer, you will be able to improve and optimise ongoing products and production processes, contributing to continuous improvement and driving the introduction of new technologies.
* Creation of innovative technical concepts and solutions to solve customers’ needs or to meet internal design requirements.
* Design of Electronics, Firmware and Software to support the development of new Technologies
* Documentation of designs and test results for hand over to new product development
Skills
* Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or equivalent
* Considerable industry experience
* Proven competence in schematic and board layout for mixed signal designs
* Experience with spice driven simulation
* Proven ability in troubleshooting and debugging new designs using standard lab equipment
* Full product development lifecycle
Desirable Skills:
* Familiarity with Altium Designer
* Experience of data analysis
* Basic firmware experience in C
* Experience using Jira for project management and tracking
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
