English Teacher - Maternity Cover

GSL Education invites applications for the position of an English Teacher for a maternity cover starting in September 2024 at a dynamic school in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to contribute to an established English department.
Job Summary:
Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, preparing students for GCSE examinations.
Foster a passion for literature and language among students, while enhancing their reading, writing, and analytical skills.
Engage in continuous assessment and feedback to monitor student progress and adapt lessons accordingly.
Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
Utilize innovative teaching techniques and resources to cater to diverse learning needs.
Participate in departmental meetings, parent consultations, and school training events.
Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English or a closely related subject.
Proven experience in teaching English at secondary level, with a strong record of student achievement.
Excellent classroom management skills and ability to implement effective differentiation strategies.
