Caledonian Construction, are partnering with an established contractor, who is seeking a highly motivated and organised Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of our projects.
£30k - £40k - Depending On Experience
What you'll do:
* Ensure timely submission of monthly interim payment applications, adhering strictly to contract requirements.
* Handle general contract administration, including issuing notices, requesting and pricing instructions, and maintaining meticulous records.
* Provide ongoing commercial support by liaising with our site teams.
* Monitor and report on project value, costs, and performance against established targets.
* Foster strong client relationships to enhance their experience and secure repeat business.
* Negotiate final account positions to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Assist with measurement and takeoff processes for tender submissions.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding and commitment to health and safety regulations on construction sites.
We're looking for someone with:
* A minimum of 12 months of experience as a Junior Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
* A strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and relevant estimating software (a plus).
* Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
