Mechanical Design Engineer – West Yorkshire - SolidWorks - 6 month contract – Packaging Machinery – £40hr – Outside Ir35
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a contract Mechanical Design Engineer to join a successful, bespoke, packaging machine manufacturer based in West Yorkshire. The successful Mechanical Design Engineer must have previous experience of designing bespoke machinery.
Key aspects of the Mechanical Design Engineer role include;
* 3D CAD mechanical design experience using SolidWorks 2020
* Competent in technical aspects of mechanical design and development of packaging machinery
* Make changes to existing drawings, reconfiguring an existing machine for a particular order
* Experience of working within a multi–skilled environment (i.e. knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic and electrical components)
* Successful Mechanical Design Engineer will provide a high level of commercial awareness to ensure design solutions are delivered in a cost-effective manner & design changes are managed in accordance with standard operation procedures
* Ideally have your own SolidWorks licence – not essential
* Because of the way the network is set up and IP considerations, this role will be office based in West Yorkshire
