£50,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance

A highly sought-after opportunity to work with is a well known and highly respected construction company who cover Yorkshire and the North-East. They have experience spans all sectors, with projects ranging in value from £750k to £15m in sectors such as: Commercial; Industrial and Logistics; Education; Leisure; Public Sector; Retail and Healthcare.

This role has become available due to the amount of work that has been won. With 14 live projects currently, the successful candidate will be joining an already existing team of 5 other surveyors and will be responsible for running multiple projects concurrently typically between £2M - £6M but can be as high as £15M. The types of projects currently running are 4 separate care home builds: 4 logistic schemes and a £9M youth centre.

The successful candidate must have a relevant UK degree, UK experience and a valid full UK driving license.

The Duties

* Undertake all commercial and contractual requirements.

* Ensuring sound financial performance

* Preparation of accurate and detailed monthly cost reports

* Good working knowledge and application of Main Contract and Sub-Contract Forms and Standard Method of Measurement.

* Preparing and agreeing Monthly Valuations, including valuing variations and forecast final account.

* Appointment of Subcontractors in accordance with Company Procedures

* Working closely with Contracts Management to ensure all required site records and correspondence are completed.

* Maintain close working relationship with the client and design team.

The Requirements

* Experience as a Project Surveyor, with background in various sectors, Industrial / Logistics preferred.

* Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying desirable, or significant experience in Project Surveying.

* Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS) not essential.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
