I am currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a professional services organisation based in central Bradford. This is a busy role where you will be responsible for assisting the Finance Team in preparation of monthly Management Accounts and general financial administrative support.
The successful applicant will have experience of working in an accounts function, you will have excellent attention to detail and ideally be AAT qualified or equivalent.
Duties will include:
Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments & journals
Balance sheet reconciliations
Maintenance of fixed assets & prepare depreciation schedules
Preparation of quarterly VAT return
Overhead/Variance analysis
Checking & posting bills
Ad-hoc reporting
Send month end reports to partners
Month end processing and switch over
Dealing with residual balances
Bank reconciliations
Posting petty cash and reconciliation
Ensure all client transactions comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules
Input purchase ledger invoices on to system
Carry out general administration tasks as required
Produce ad-hoc MI using excel
Maintain confidentially in all matters relating to Partnership finances & client accounts
Assist with auditors requests
Qualifications & experience required:
Previous experience within an accounts function
Attention to detail
Team orientated with a professional approach
Excellent communication and organisation skills
Excellent IT skills including intermediate level MS Excel
AAT qualified or equivalent
