We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our secondary school in Bradford. This is a full-time position to commence immediately and continue until the Summer.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for history
Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proven track record of delivering high-quality teaching and achieving results
Commitment to ongoing professional development

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging history lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
Create a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore historical concepts and develop critical thinking skills
Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to promote active learning and academic achievement
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth
Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and share best practices
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns
