Electrical Biased Maintenance Engineer

The Role:

Maintaining (to the highest standard) all plant machinery in a result focused production environment, the electrical technician will be expected to demonstrate personal competencies including a high level of:

* Decision Making Competency

* Communication competency

All employees, regardless of designation or level will be expected to show flexibility, but also active contribution in line with business plans, objectives, vision and values.

What will you be doing?

* To always maintain manufacturing machinery including satisfying all aspects of maintenance by shift.

* To ensure all data recording and feedback is completed accurately and on time, including any factory standard checks.

* Preventative maintenance checks.

* Understand Electrical & Mechanical Drawings

* Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics

* Understanding of PLC’s

* Basic bench fitting skills

* Understanding and knowledge of wiring regulations

* Basic level of Welding and fabricating

* To assist any other maintenance technician as directed

* Installation work where necessary (Conduit, cable trays, armoured cables, lighting, etc).

* Effectively communicate/liase, verbally, in writing or electronic mail as required (at all levels).

* To provide additional support and/or temporary replacement of appropriate maintenance personnel.

* A basic level of ability to use figures/numeracy equal to the use of the computer system (QAD & L2L).

* To understand the requirements of the Duty of Care regulations for Waste Management, and to understand the importance of satisfactory completing the Waste Transfer documentation.

* To be aware of the internal procedures for waste segregation.

What will you bring to the party?

* All Electrical technicians will be willing to demonstrate personal abilities to GCSE level/HNC or City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent Standard.

* The Company recognises that this may not necessarily involve academic qualifications but may be demonstrated in work experience and past/current performance achievements.

* Proven experience in electrical engineering in a high-volume production environment is however, essential.

* Electrical technician’s role will cover all aspects of electrical maintenance including assisting mechanical technicians if required.

* Knowledge of Siemens S7 PLC’s and Allen Bradley is essential, specific training will be given where appropriate.
