Electrician
Toro Recruitment is seeking a qualified Electrician to join their client at the Energy from Waste facility in Wolverhampton. The successful Electrician will report to the Maintenance Team Leader.
The primary responsibility of the Electrician is to contribute to preventative maintenance and defect rectification on all plant and equipment, providing an electrical fitting service across the plant. The role also involves assisting in various disciplines and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities of an Electrician:
* Performing planned maintenance activities and reporting irregularities.
* Collaborating with Operations department to prioritize work and review log entries.
* Ensuring safety assessments before work and maintaining safety standards.
* Testing and maintaining LV electrical systems.
* Assisting in implementing preventative maintenance schedule and participating in security programs.
* Responding to emergencies, assisting personnel, and participating in outage preparation.
Competencies, qualifications, experience, and skills required:
* City and Guilds 236(0), part 1&2/NVQ level 3, or equivalent Electrical engineering recognized apprenticeship (C&G 5357).
* Practical experience in electrical work, including small power and lights, control wiring, motors over 15kVA, working at heights, and fault finding.
* Attention to detail and effective interpretation of data.
* Basic IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to work independently and read technical drawings.
Key information
* Salary Range: £37,000-£42,000
* Working Days: Monday to Friday.
* Working Hours: 08:00 - 16:00.
* On-call Duty: 1 in 4 weekends, from 06:00 to 14:00.
