Are you currently looking for a role supporting children with special educational needs? Zest is currently recruiting for a SEND Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a school in Wolverhampton to work with students between the ages of 4yo-19yo with a range of complex learning needs including Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) or a full-time long-term basis to start as soon as possible.
The ideal SEND Learning Support Assistant will have experience supporting students with the above needs previously or have previous experience of personal care in a relevant sector. The roles will consist of the following duties:
* Provide small group support to students with SEMH needs, tailored to their specific requirements
* Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and prevent disruptions
* Facilitate the development of social skills, including communication, cooperation, conflict resolution, and self-regulation
* Maintain accurate records of student progress, behaviour incidents, and interventions

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
