Electrical Contracts Manager

Location: Walsall, United Kingdom

My client is a leading provider of electrical solutions specialising in commercial healthcare, leisure, and retail sectors. With a focus on excellence and innovation, they are committed to delivering high-quality projects that meet and exceed client expectations.

They are seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join our dynamic team in Walsall. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in a similar position, demonstrating expertise in managing various contracts with values up to £4M, including new build and refurbishment projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee all aspects of electrical contracts, from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

* Manage a portfolio of projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and resources effectively to meet project deadlines.

* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to establish project requirements, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project progression.

* Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.

* Monitor project progress, budget, and quality standards, implementing corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure project success.

* Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the electrical contracting industry.

* Proven track record of successfully managing multiple contracts with values up to £4M, including both new build and refurbishment projects.

* Strong project management skills, with the ability to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to meet project objectives.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.

* Sound knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and industry best practices.

* Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
