The Opportunity

This role is responsible to lead the design, virtual development and physical validation of Powertrain Cooling Systems for JLR Vehicles.

WHAT TO EXPECT

In this role, we will give you the responsibility to look after System requirements - Manage the cooling functional requirements via cross-fucntional technical meetings, drive alignment between stakeholders and report system functional status at concept program gateways.
You will be involved in evaluating multiple system design concepts to satisfy the futured vehicle and powertrain requirement. Develop the system design solutions with the component engineering team to application readinessKey Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Development of the Cooling systems concept designs, specifications and integration for future JLR BEV Vehicles
We will want you to manage the Cooling system Concepts functional requirements and report the system functional/performance status.
Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of the cooling system components including issue resolution and objective data analysis.
Working with Technical Specialist, SMEs and Attributes on Function Forward Strategies, including new Function Definition and Failure Mode Avoidance
Undertake any other work as directed by your line manager in connection with their job as may be requested 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Sound understanding of the Design and Development Process of complex automotive thermal systems.
Experience in thermal system concept creation and development.
Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance
Able to demonstrate Battery Electric Vehicle understanding of the technology and systems at powertrain and vehicle level.
Able to demonstrate sound knowledge of Project Management, Requirements Managements and Systems Engineering and have strong disciplined approach to engineering delivery.
Good verbal and written communications. Must be able to communicate and able to present information in a concise and factual manner.
