What we do.

Our Bakkavor Bread sites based in Cheshire make specialty hand-crafted flatbreads, baguettes, doughballs and ciabattas for customers including Tesco, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys, Waitrose and our own Pizza Express brand.

About the role.

To audit, monitor, improve and evaluate quality systems and procedures and provide technical support for the operational teams while maintaining and promoting technical and quality standards in line with business needs and customer requirements with guidance from QA Supervisor / Manager.

Accountabilities:

Monitoring environmental and hygiene practises, including post clean line sign-off, collection of swabs & water samples
Quality checks and then collection of finished product and raw materials for microbiological & nutritional testing
Conducting various daily audits (including GMP, Glass & Plastics audits, and ensuring corrective action with the shift manager
Conducting internal quality assessment panels (QAS) throughout the shift & raising issues with the senior key-op/ shift manager
Calibration & Verification of factory equipment
Raising & completion of factory non conformances
Dealing with shift issues & completion of QA shift report
Complaint & Olympus mismatches Investigations  

About you.

Flexible approach to working pattern as night shift cover will be required
Driving license is essential
Assertive, strong & confident personality, working well with a multi-disciplinary team 
Pro-active, hands-on & positive approach 
Good literacy and numerical skills 
Attention to details and a methodical approach 
Food industry background, with experience in food quality & safety monitoring 
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
