Job description - the role
We are looking for a Skilled Machinist for a 12 month contract based in Solihull on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs.
As a Skilled Machinist you will be responsible for:
Working to our clients Technical Instructions to deliver consistent, high-quality machining and inspection processes across a variety of different components and product families.
Operating a variety of CNC machines including 9 axis Doosan machining centres with FANUC control.
Operating a variety of measuring equipment, including, micrometres, plug gauges, and surface finish equipment.
Correct interpretation of manufacturing drawings, customer drawings, written specifications and understanding programmes
Work within a team to effectively to ensure we hit our customer commitments.What we require from the candidate:
Key Skills and experience required (E.G skilled or unskilled)
It is essential that candidates possess a recognised time-served apprenticeship/modern apprenticeship within a Mechanical Engineering discipline, at either NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
Clear and demonstrated understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, technical instruction, and asset care.
An individual who is confident to work alone or part of a team and will strive to achieve delivery commitments.
Will have a strong awareness of H&S and inspection visual technique.Additional:
