Quality Engineer

Infinity Employment are looking for a Quality Engineer for our client in the Coventry area. Also must be flexible to travel between Coventry and their HQ in Staffordshire once per week. This will be for a 4-6 week period with another 2 projects to follow, taking it to a 3 - 6 month contract within the Automotive Engineering Industry. We are looking for previous Quality Engineering experience.
Principal Responsibilities:
· Overseeing a team of Quality Inspectors
. Focal contact point between the team, management and the customer
· Ensuring their team approves in-process production confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
· Approve finished products confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
· Document inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
· Keep measurement equipment operating
· Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
· Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Essential:-
· Understanding of engineering drawings and measurement data
. Good communication skills as leading teams and delivering information to all parties
. Team leading skills
· Experience working within a manufacturing enviroment
· Good organistional skills
. Computer literate ( Knowledge of Excel , SharePoint )
. Fluent in English
Desirable:-
· Automotive experience
. Metrology background
. Quality inspection experience
