A Technical Sales Engineer with experience of selling bespoke engineered solutions to customers, is required for an established manufacturer of industrial automation equipment. The position will require new sales generation, visiting prospective customers and obtaining leads and enquiries to pass on to engineering for design concepts to be created.
Location: Home based
The position of Technical Sales Engineer will include the following:
Generate a list of prospective customers who may require some kind of automation to assist their manufacturing and/or product assembly process.
Visit customers and talk about the variety of options and configurations you can offer, and find out more about the solutions which may be required.
Obtain as much information about the project and bring this back to the engineering team to design a concept solution which you can present to your customer.
Build trust and credibility with the customer and support them throughout the project.
These solutions may include, but not limited; automated pick and place, automated inspection equipment, leak detection, automated assembly, utilising pneumatics, servo motors, robotics etc. The skills and experienced required for this position include:
Prior experience with technical sales, generating leads and enquiries by cold calling and networking.
Experience with selling engineered solutions.
Experience with automated machinery, work holding, etc is highly advantageous,
