A globally recognised manufacturing organisation are looking to recruit a Shift Production Operator on a permanent basis at their site in Birmingham.
This opportunity plays an integral part of the production department, ensuring the consistent operation of production machinery with a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Key tasks include:
* Operating production systems and to ensure the consistent performance of a variety of plant and production machinery.
* Liaising with various internal departments to maximise production efficiency and overall output.
* Actively participating and aiding in the delivery of in ongoing site projects, manufacturing activities, and in responding to breakdowns when required.
* Help to promote and maintain a culture of Health and Safety and Continuous Improvement
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates need to have previous operations experience within a relatable manufacturing or industrial sector (FMCG, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Industrial). Ideally you will have a recognised technical or H&S qualification (IOSH).
The position is site-based and on a 24/7 shift pattern with a mixture of 12-hour day and night shifts including weekends.
As well as a competitive salary and overtime, the position comes with a defined pension scheme and annual bonus. There is an initial training period on days at a lower hourly rate before the full rate on shift.
This opportunity may be suitable for a Plant Operator, Utilities Operative, or a Production / Manufacturing Technician
