Cloud 9 are thrilled to be working with a leading packaging company to source a Production Planner in the Midlands to join their dynamic and successful team! This is a super opportunity where your main focus will be preparing production planning schedules, ensuring deliveries and lead times are on schedule, meeting customer requirements and managing of stock levels. Key Responsibilities

* Meet customer needs to the highest level ensuring agreed lead times and deliveries are on time.

* Prepare comprehensive production schedules communicating these across the company.

* Make adjustments to plans where necessary to ensure output is achieved.

* Ensure capacity, planning and control are applied in the most effective way by creating, executing and managing systems.

* Ensure the highest of standards are achieved of capacity planning, controlling any influences that may effect plans being achieved.

* Ensure the correct goods are in place and orders are shipped in a timely manner.

* Anticipate and resolve potential material shortages.

* Make sure the planning schedules support optimisation of efficient production, material use, delivery service etc.

* Develop a good understanding of manufacturing processes to best accomplish supply.

* Provide a strong communication network between all departments and customers.

* Manage and evaluate stock levels.

* Ensure KPI targets are met and maintained.

* Uphold excellent standards of production planning and comply with the company’s quality standards.

* Maintain and promote company’s Health & Safety Regulations, attending training and activities when required.

* Problem-solve in an effective and timely manner.

* Endeavour to collate the most accurate information in order to maintain highest standards in production and customer requirements.

* Deliver excellent customer service that benefits both the customer and the company.

* Aspire to provide optimum performance of manufacturing department with effective production planning that will in turn increase sales and capacity.

Skills and Experience

* You will have at least 2 years’ experience in production planning, preferably in the packaging industry, though not essential.

* Ability to challenge and develop new methods of improving operations and capacity.

* A creative and analytical thinker.

* Technically minded with ability to accurately interpret customer requirements.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills.

* Excellent IT skills.

* Excellent relationship building skills.

* Team Player.

* Organised, ability to prioritise a heavy workload.

* Good judgement.

* Confident to implement change by taking necessary action.

Remuneration

You will receive a salary of £25k-£28k DOE.
