We are currently recruiting a Head Quality and Compliance for a Learning Disabilties provider within Birmingham

As Head of Quality and Regulatory Compliance, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a culture of excellence across all operational services in their area ensuring that they are managed to a consistently high standard and that the people we support are safe and enabled to fulfil their potential and lead full lives. This included ensuring the environments in which the our customers live are at the highest quality.

Requirements

· Ensure effective support, monthly supervision and annual appraisal for all service managers in the region.

· Maintain overall responsibility for the induction of quality staff at all levels in the region.

· Help to embed a coaching culture, mentor new managers, and support existing managers with their professional development.

· Have a regular presence in all services ensuring staff and the people we support are familiar with the Head of Quality and Regulatory Compliance role and support provided.

· Overall responsibility for ensuring all services within the region are staffed at safe levels and delivered cost effectively.

· Monitor absence levels in the region and ensure effective management in line with policies.

· Monitor training compliance and ensure appropriate action is taken to keep staff training up to date.

· Ensure any complaints are fully investigated and documented by the home manager. Undertake investigations directly if they involve the management of the service. Partake in disciplinary investigations as requested and in partnership with HR

· Take the lead and over seen any local authority & CQC actions plans and support the register managers to ensure all action target dates are met within the required timescales. Any generated action plans must be submitted to the Chief operating officer ahead of the required submission date for approval.

· Take the leadt to support managers to ensure the service users we support are receiving the correct clinical support as and when needed and required. Will also review residents in the monthly meeting and offer support where required.

· complete a quality audit for each service every month. Once completed submit the quality audit and any required actions to the service manager and chief operating officer

· Ensure that regulatory standards are maintained and effective monitoring processes are in place to ensure quality. Ensure that person centred processes are embedded in all services in the region with clear systems in place to monitor outcomes for the people we support.

Skills and Experience

· Minimum of 3 years as an operational manager in social care - LD

· NVQ 5 (minimum) in Leadership and Management or equivalent

Previously registered manager to ensure a sound knowledge of regulations and compliance to meet at least a ‘Good’ standard.
