Job Title: Strategic Finance Manager
Location: South Birmingham
Salary: £48,500 - £51,500
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Twenty4Seven Education is working in partnership with a reputable secondary school in South Birmingham to recruit a Strategic Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to play a crucial role in advising the Senior Leadership Team and Governors on financial matters and playing a central role in the financial management of the school’s budget. The role will be full time and permanent with flexibility on whether it will be all year round or term time only and will be to start as soon as possible. This is a brilliant opportunity to work at a school which was previously rated a ‘Good’ school with ‘Outstanding’ Leadership & Management by Ofsted.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic financial advice and support to the Senior Leadership Team and Governors.
* Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with the school's strategic objectives.
* Monitor financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and providing recommendations for improvement.
* Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
* Manage the school's financial systems and processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) or a school business management qualification.
* Proven experience in a similar finance role, preferably within the education sector.
* Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
