Our client is renowned for exquisite crafting jewellery pieces using precious metals and gemstones. As part of their expansion, we are actively seeking a dynamic and organised Jewellery Production Administrator to join their team.

Position Overview:

As a Jewellery Production Administrator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient functioning of the production process. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of administrative tasks, including managing gemstones and precious metals, utilising Excel for data management, coordinating with external entities for hallmarking, and ensuring smooth communication with manufacturers.

You will be out and about as well taking items to the post office and also the Assay office so you must be wiling to do this as part of the role .

Key Responsibilities:

Gemstone and Precious Metal Management:

Maintain an organised inventory of gemstones and precious metals.

Track and document the flow of materials within the production process.

Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely availability of required materials.

Excel Data Management:

Utilise Excel to manage and organise data related to inventory, orders, and production schedules.

Generate reports as needed for production analysis and decision-making.

Hallmarking Coordination:

Liaise with Assay offices for the hallmarking of jewellery items.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and legal requirements for hallmarking.

Administrative Support:

Handle general administrative tasks, including filing, record-keeping, and documentation.

Coordinate with couriers for the safe and timely transportation of Jewellery items.

Telephone and Communication:

Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Manage phone calls and emails efficiently, addressing inquiries and providing necessary information.

Manufacturer Liaison:

Maintain regular communication with manufacturers to ensure smooth production processes.

Collaborate with the production and sales team to address any issues or concerns raised by manufacturers.

Organisation and Time Management:

Keep production schedules organised and up to date.

Assist in prioritising tasks to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar administrative role within the jewellery or manufacturing industry.

School of Jewellery qualification

Knowledge of gemstones, precious metals, and hallmarking processes.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
