JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER JOB IN NEW YORK, NY, USA
An opportunity has arisen for aJunior Interior Designer jobat a renowned design firm situated in Lower Manhattan, New York. The role focuses on luxury hospitality projects globally, in collaboration with an expert team of interior, architectural, and FF&E designers. This position starts with a salary of up to $85,000, plus extra benefits.
The firm prides itself on a diverse design ethos, inspired by a mix of experiences, art, and design. Operating out of New York and London, they have completed projects on a global scale. Currently, with a strong portfolio of future projects, they are looking to hire an Interior Designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality sector and a strong passion for unique interior designs.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assist the design team across the full design life cycle from concept to completion
* Work with the wider team to produce concept design documents for high-end hospitality projects (2D, 3D, and hand-sketches)
* Production of design documents across DD, CD sets, and scheduling
* Assist in liaising with vendors to understand lead times, trends, and pricing
* FF&E specification and design; keeping up to date on trends.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* 2+ years of industry experience in hospitality design
* Degree qualified in interior design or similar
* Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Suite
* Enscape, Vray, and Bluebeam are beneficial
* Experience producing 2D drawings and 3D renderings
* FF&E specification and procurement experience.
