The company
Our client is a family-owned, global electrical manufacturing business. They design, manufacture, and install products globally and have a UK office based in Telford. They're known for their passion for adding value to people's lives and their buildings by offering smart, eco-efficient, and energy-saving solutions and services. Now, expanding their team, they are looking for a Production Planner with an eye for detail, manufacturing processes and time-critical.
The role
As a Production Planner at their Telford site. Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, you'll play a crucial role in their Demand Management team. This includes looking at MTS (Make to stock), ATO (Assemble to order), MTO (Make to order) and managing daily priorities. working hours between 8.30 am - 5 pm, Mon-Thur, Fri 8.30 am - 2 pm, 37.5 hours per week.
Production Planner will take responsibility for:
Coordinate supply chain tasks, escalate issues, and manage production planning within SAP.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, attend meetings, and share insights with the team.
Monitor KPIs, conduct root cause analysis, and improve performance for efficiency.
Manage data, prepare reports, and ensure communication with stakeholders for effective operations.
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful Production Engineer to have the following :
Experience within production planning e.g MTO, MTS & ETO
Strong Organisational, interpersonal & Time management
Graduate Level or equivalent and above
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
Knowledge of Production Scheduling / Planning
