Maintenance Manager
We are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Manager on a full-time permanent basis for a specialised manufacturer of construction products in Herefordshire, our client has a new facility and is looking to build a new team.
The Successful candidate will have previous experience managing, training and coaching a team within a Maintenance Manager or Supervisory level within Manufacturing, those from FMCG will be at an advantage. You will be a qualified engineer, electrically or mechanically biased, but skilled in both. Experience across CMMS including maintenance techniques such as TPM, PPM, CBM & RCM.
What you can expect:
* Competitive Salary (DOE) + Pension
* Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 5pm (some flexibility required)
* 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays
What you will be doing:
* Ensure work is carried out in compliance with legislation and health & safety protocols
* On site management of all maintenance day to day activities. Provide leadership and support to team
* Positively reinforce values & maintenance strategy to all employees on an on-going basis
* Managing the timely workload of the maintenance department while effectively dealing with site priorities
* Creating & maintaining a culture driving continuous improvement programmes throughout the plant
* Identifying cost savings and driving cost efficiency programmes within the manufacturing operation
* Ensuring all Maintenance personnel are trained & developed so that optimum operational performance is achieved
* Working closely with departmental managers and teams to ensure that all issues are dealt with through open communications & teamwork
* Mentor & Coach a team using RCA techniques to quickly identify root cause of downtime issues
* Ensuring CMMS is used to its full potential and departments are actively using the system to prevent reactive work. Continuously updating CMMS to prevent future downtimes
* Assisting in CAPEX projects as and when required. Identifying future site CAPEX projects are before they affect KPI performance
What we are looking for:
* You will have previous experience as a Maintenance Manager or Supervisor from a Manufacturing background, those from FMCG will be at an advantage
* You will be a qualified engineer, either electrically or mechanically biased, but will need skills in both
* You will have experience with CMMS systems, as well as experience of maintenance techniques TPM, PPM, CBM & RCM
* Experience managing, training and coaching others
