Are you AAT qualified with at least three years’ experience and looking to take a new step forward on your accountancy journey? If so, read on because this could be just what you’re looking for.
Our client, a thriving precision engineering and manufacturing business in Redditch, wants an Assistant Accountant to support with various tasks including data entry, reconciliations, assisting with financial reporting, and providing general administrative support.
More challenging than most assistant positions, this role reports directly to the company’s Finance Director and holds a number of key responsibilities such as payroll, cashbook maintenance, bank account reconciliation and administration of the pension scheme. What’s more, you’ll be invited to assist with budgets and forecasting as well as contributing your ideas to improve the finance department processes.
As well as already holding an AAT qualification, you will at least be working towards CIMA/ACCA while in post. In addition to your accountancy skills you will be able to offer proven abilities in Microsoft Office, verbal and written communication, working to deadlines and meticulous attention to detail.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not mandatory, along with experience in Pegasus Opera accounts/payroll and using an ERP system.
