Maintenance Technician
We are actively recruiting for a maintenance technician to join a world leading company who manufacture in the UK.
This is a position based solely at our Southend plant, covering on a rotational basis a shift pattern of 6am till 2pm and 2pm till 10pm. You will join a multi-skilled team supporting manufacturing at this key site.

Role & Responsibilities
As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for:
· Carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical assets including mould and power presses, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and ancillary equipment etc.
· Providing engineering solutions when immediate spares aren't available (retrofitting, reverse engineering or modifying equipment)
· Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices complying with Health and Safety regulations
· Respond to reactive maintenance call outs
· Maintaining accurate maintenance and inspection logs
· Assist in outage planning, scheduling and coordination
· Supervising contracted labour when on site
· Supporting and mentoring apprentices.
Skills & Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge / qualifications:
· Time Served Apprenticeship in a Mechanical or electrical engineering field.
· Strong experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC controlled plant and associated equipment.
· Experience working in a fast-moving production environment.
· Willing to undertake additional specific plant training.
