Oracle DBA - Remote - 6 months initially
£450-£525 p/d Inside IR35
Our global financial services client is seeking a skilled Oracle DBA to join the team, focusing on the ongoing functional support and improvement of their current database infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Support a 24/7 environment with stringent SLA requirements.
Manage and resolve issues related to Oracle databases and dependent applications.
Perform lifecycle management, including automation and maintenance.
Oversee the progress of new projects from requirements gathering to business as usual.
Install, configure, manage, and monitor Oracle Databases.
Perform database patching and upgrading.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Oracle Database Support: Minimum of 3 years of experience.
Diagnostic and Tuning: Proficient in diagnosing and tuning Oracle databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
Database Cloning: Experience with cloning Oracle databases.
HA RAC and Data Guard: Strong knowledge and experience with High Availability Real Application Clusters and Data Guard.
Backup and Recovery: Expertise in backup and recovery solutions and high availability options.
Linux and AIX: Good knowledge of Linux and AIX operating systems.
Production Support: Previous experience in production support and supporting development teams.
Shell Scripting: Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and maintenance tasks.
Advantageous Skills:
Experience with Oracle Ebusiness Financials.
Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c.
DevOps experience with tools such as JIRA and GITHUB.
Knowledge of Oracle Middleware Infrastructure.
Experience with Informatica Powercenter and Data Quality tools.
Experience with Azure cloud services
